Is it better to donate my recked car or sell it off to a junk yard?

My car(2001 Sentra) is recked and will cost me over 6 grand to fix. My insurance won't pay for it since I dont have full coverage. Should I donate it to a charitable org. or sell it to a junk yard for 100 bucks? Atleast I would like to get back the 200 i spent in towing it.

Since your car is`nt too old you should consider the high school auto tech kids. Its` hard for some schools to aquire cars less than 10-15 yrs old!

IF YOU DONATE YOUR VEHICLE YOU CAN WRITE IT OFF ON YOUR TAXES. YOU CAN PROBABLY GET A $500 WRITE OFF BUT IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR QUICK CASH YOU MIGHT GET $100. FOR IT. IN ANY CASE IT IS BEST TO PUSH FOR MORE CREDIT OR CASH.
