Can you help me to find a junk yard in San Francisco area that buys old cars?

not going to happen.
put it on craig's list, lots of pictures, describe all the issues.
when the world economy was hot, scrap metal dealers would purchase cars, even tow them for free, not anymore, since the world wide metal demand tanked.

The other answer is a good one, if you want to first look in the yellow pages of your telephone book for either salvage yards or junk yards, call and ask what they pay. I bet it isn't what you expect to get out of it. Lots less I would think from my experience with both.
When you call these places ask what if:
what if I part it out and sell just the engine to you then the transmission etc etc. Try asking.
